May has arrived and so summer is
right around the corner. While it is important to spend time with your
brethren, forget not the duties to your families. Our families are the
ties that make us strong and whole.
This summer the lodge will have a few more family activities. Our next
ice cream social will be 6:30pm June 28th at the lodge and I am still
looking for a location to hold our lodge picnic. Anyone that would like
to help with putting together the lodge picnic this year please let me
know. I am also working on setting up a night at the Nationals Ballpark,
stay tuned for more information.
For those of you who haven’t been to lodge lately, our steward and his
helpers have been preparing some amazing food for the lodge’s enjoyment.
We have also been going out to Thirsty Bernies after lodge to continue
socializing and building bonds. Come on by and have some eats.
We will also have a scheduled visit from the District Education Officer
on May 17th.
