| Summer is finally here,
and with all the warm weather comes lots of outdoor and family activities. But brethren, also bear in
mind the great many Masonic activities of the summer including our blood drives, the Grand Master’s One
Day Conferral, and various ritual schools. The summer also brings breaks from our normal activities,
such as higher education. I’m hoping we can take advantage of this time to catch up on some much needed
labors of the lodge. Your lodge officers and I have had a very busy beginning of the year, and have neglected slightly, some of our duties. I personally am on the tail-end of six months of intensive law enforcement training, but brethren, I can assure you that upon it’s completion in mid-June, I will be completely back in the saddle. I would hope that all of our members, during these summer months, would reinvest their time and effort back into the lodge. There will be some very enlightening speakers this month, one of which is Worshipful William (Bill) Turner, who will be discussing the National Sojourners, which if you are unaware, is a Masonic organization composed of former soldiers and focused on patriotism. Additionally this month, we hope to celebrate the Feast of the Holy Saints John. In closing brethren, I hope to see you over the course of the summer, and look forward to the Masonic activities to come. |
